High quality services for a good price
Already three times we stayed at the hotel u Leva in Levoča, although my parents live in a nearby village. My husband praises highly services of this hotel. It offers pleasant environment in the very centre of the town. Rooms are tastefully furnished, clean, besides there is a heated floor in the bathroom, that we didn´t find in other 3 star hotels in Slovakia. The staff is very friendly, ready to help with everything, very professional. The cuisine is delicious and we like that the restaurant is non-smoking. We are travelling a lot, but this hotel became our favorite. I recommend it to everybody, mostly to families with children, because all hotel is non smoking. We look forward to come again in May.

Previous Reviews are Accurate
We recently finished a few weeks travelling around Central Europe and this hotel among all the others (3,4 & 5 star) stood out for a variety of reasons. The town itself is fabulous with amazing buildings throughout (don’t forget to look up!) but the reception we received at this hotel was warm and welcoming - the owner spoke perfect English, as did many of the staff, and really went to exceptional lengths to ensure everything was perfect. We stayed in one of the apartments (top floor - lift to second floor and short flight of stairs to apartments) and even after viewing the photos on their website we were surprised by the enormous space we had. We had a twin bedroom, large living room/kitchen and a ‘very large’ double room, plus seperate Toilet and Bathroom. The restaurant downstairs has excellent, reasonably priced food and very good service. The town is less than an hours drive from the Tatra Mountain resorts and 30 minutes from Slovensky Raj National Park both areas of exceptional beauty and fabulous walking so makes a perfect base for these areas as well as the surrounding countryside with its castles and churches. I am aware I have used a lot of superlatives here in describing this hotel and town but the Hotel U Leva stood head and shoulders above many higher ranked hotels and is one we would genuinely go back to. The downside? – Please can someone oil the weather vane on the town hall!.

Wonderful place to stay
I have recently had the chance to spend 3 days in "U Leva" hotel in Levoca, Slovakia. This a wonderful hotel with large, warm and very clean rooms and an extremely nice young personnel who makes you feel so comfortable and special at the same time. The hotel has also an excellent chef. I enjoyed a lot every single meal I had there. The breakfast was very good and giving me energy for hours ahead. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and business partners for their travels. There are many interesting places for visit in the region and that hotel could be an excellent base.

The Hotel U Leva : A Great Addition in Levoca
Levoca is one of those little gems many people missed because they spent time in larger, more famous cities. Small, yet packed with charm, the city remains unspoiled by mass tourism. It is also blessed with a number of excellent hotels that rival any others in Central Europe. Among the newest and finest in an already competitive market is the Hotel U Leva. The owner, the amiable Vladimir Petroci has spared no expense in his tasteful and luxurious renovation of this wonderful centuries old townhouse on the main square. The rooms are huge and beautifully appointed. Many over look the picturesque and historic Town Hall and all come with minibar, satellite tv with CNN, BBC as well as many other foreign channels. The staff is warm and helpful and eager to please. Another huge plus is the hotel restaurant. Having visited Levoca no less than 10 times over the years I can say that you will NOT find a better meal in town. The menu offers one of the best steaks I have had in Central Europe as well as a number of lighter pasta dishes which come as a welcome relief from the sometimes heavy (though tasty) Slovakian cuisine. A number of excellent local wines are available by the glass or bottle. White wines of this quality would cost 3or 4 times the price in Western Europe.. Order with impunity and be amazed at how forgiving the bill is on your pocket book. Save room for the wonderful deserts and a slivowitz and coffee. Levoca is one of those bucolic places that will not remain undiscovered for long. If you looking for a quiet, romantic getaway in a lovely part of Europe look no further than Levoca with its beautiful rolling hills , quiet charm and great hotels.

Old world ambience
When I read about levoca in tripadvisor a lot of people said there was nothing to do in levoca at night! well in a town of 14,000 what do you expect! brings books, a camera and some walking shoes and you will find plenty to do! the hotel u leva was a real find! stayed in room 103 over looking the main square and it was stunning! the room itself was huge and super quiet! what a treat to look out the window and watch the activity of the town! the room itself was great to relax in! had two big chairs! comfy for reading! the hotel staff was superb! they did laundry for me at a very fair price! the only negative for me was the breakfast and it was a negative for me in most of Slovakia! the breakfast was prepared well but to much emphasis on eggs and meat! really would have loved more in the way of vegetables, yogurt and fruit! but totally loved the room and everything else!

Five Star Quality At A Three Star Price!
The only thing better than the quality of the room was the service we received from the family owners of this fabulous boutique hotel in Levoca. From the moment we arrived at the front desk, we were treated like royalty. Our spacious room overlooked the town square with a fantastic view of the historic buildings. The room was very well appointed with luxurious furniture. We dined at the restaurant on two occasions and the food and service was excellent. We would have no hesitation referring the Hotel U Leva. Thank you Matej, Jana and Vladimir for making our visit to Slovakia one we will never forget.

Beautiful old building, bang up to date
I stayed here on a business trip , had a room overlooking the town, comfortable beds and had a good night rest in the quite little town. There was no air conditioning, however when I stayed in the summer the town was cooler than west Slovakia, so it was nice to have the windows open and feel the breeze. The breakfast was good, and the evening meal of steak was excellent value and really good. Artwork around the hotel was tasteful done and I'm guessing that as they're mostly pictures of lions that Leva means Lion. A Roaring success!

Spotlessly clean and up to date
Very clean, newly-renovated hotel in the center of this picturesque mountain town. The staff speak English and are very helpful and friendly. They have wireless and wired internet and happily supply cables for the latter. Parking is out of sight at the rear, and is secure. The restaurant is also up to a high standard with many local specialties on the menu and good Czech beer on draught. Very highly recommended and excellent value for money.
